2005-02-15 [All_Most PUNK]: Rooney, It's almost the same. It's easier to play the electric (well, if you are standing up it makes things a little more complicated) so it's usually better to learn with a classical one.

2005-02-16 [Lerune]: Ah, but I can't play because I physically can't. I totally understand the aspects of it, and HOW to play, it is just that my fingers are too sensitive to play a stringed instrument. I had to give up the violin because of that. X(

2005-02-16 [Lerune]: lol I have never been hurt playing the piano, that is for sure...lol I can play piano, bass clarinet, clarinet, basic violin and guitar and a couple odds and ends percussion instruments. ;o) I secretly want to play the cello though, but I dare not try. =o(
2005-02-16 [All_Most PUNK]: If you want to learn music, you should go with piano. A little trick (that I didn't use, since I prefered to go with the horrible pain) for the finger tips is putting a little (very little) of some kind of glue on them, forming a "protection". Still, if there was bleeding, then that's really bad.
2005-02-16 [Lerune]: I agree on the piano. Once I figured out chord progression, it made playing guitar a breeze as far as KNOWING how. ;o)
2005-02-16 [All_Most PUNK]: Yeah, that's what most people say. Personally, there's a piano at home, but I don't think I'll ever really leant to play it (I can play "The sound of music" only :D ). My ex-bass player used to form the powerchords we were using on the piano (when we were at her house) because that was easier for her to translate.
